Seven Days Seven Topics (Self Challenge)

Preparing for the IELTS writing module can be difficult. It needs a lot of self-determination and guidance. To help you, I have developed a 7-day writing challenge.

The challenge is to write an essay every day for seven days. It will help you to cover all essential essay types in the IELTS exam. It will also make you confident about your writing.

Topic 1

People no longer use newspapers and television because The Internet plays the same role as them.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Topic 2

People living in the 21st century generally have better quality of lives than people born in earlier centuries.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Topic 3

Some people think it’s better to put a tax on companies which produce pollution while others think that there are other solutions.

Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Topic 4

Science tells us which activities are good for our health and which ones are bad for us. Despite knowing this, millions of people still do activities which are bad for them.

Why is this the case and what can be done to change it?

Topic 5

Some people believe that governments should not provide international aid when they have unemployment and homelessness in their country.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Topic 6

It is a positive thing for people who are in senior management positions in companies to have much higher salaries than other employees in the same company or organisation.

Topic 7

It is common for young people to have different attitudes and ideas to those of their parents and grandchildren. In your society, how are these attitudes and ideas different between the generations?
